Am pierdut ruşinos. Un om a fost învins de liste…

Rezultatele înregistrate pentru alegerea Consiliului Local (CL) Craiova arată că oamenii au preferat listele de partid în locul votului uninominal pentru un consilier independent, rol pe care mi l-am asumat în ciuda oricăror riscuri sau semnale privind o mentalitate anchilozată a electoratului.
În primul rând, le mulţumesc celor 618 de craioveni care m-au onorat cu încrederea lor şi au votat pentru a-i reprezenta în Consiliul Local, număr insuficient pentru a accede în funcţia de consilier. Rezultatul obţinut mă plasează pe poziţia nouă dintr-un număr de 25 de formaţiuni politice şi asociaţii care au avut liste de candidaţi. Consider că este un loc mediocru, un rezultat penibil şi un semn că alegătorii craioveni nu consideră necesar ca un jurnalist să aibă acces direct la culisele CL, însă respect voinţa lor.
Îmi asum înfrângerea în faţa unor contracandidaţi penali sau anonimi, electoratul votând în favoarea lor prin ştampilarea robotizată a listelor de partid. Am pierdut ruşinos, iar vina îmi aparţine în exclusivitate.
Cred că a fost un vot de blam la adresa discursului meu public, atât ca jurnalist, cât şi ca independent într-o luptă inegală, cu un sistem în care decenţa, onestitatea şi cinstea sunt considerate slăbiciuni. Am înregistrat un eşec în încercarea de a transmite un mesaj de responsabilitate clasei politice şi craiovenilor, fapt pe care mi-l asum public. Le mulţumesc tuturor celor care m-au ajutat în încercarea mea de a lupta cu un sistem perimat al listelor şi mi-au oferit sprijinul lor prietenesc. Sper că toţi cei care au încercat să insinueze că în spatele candidaturii mele s-ar afla cineva s-au convins că statutul meu de independent a fost unul real, fără nicio urmă de îndoială. Am dus o campanie decentă din toate punctele de vedere, în comparaţie cu opulenţa şi bădărănia afişate de partide.
Îmi pare rău că i-am dezamăgit pe cei care au crezut în capacitatea mea de a învinge în această competiţie electorală, însă acest insucces nu mă va determina să mă opresc aici, după cum am afirmat în campania electorală.
