Iar nu ştim pentru ce votăm?

Dacă aţi avut curiozitatea să urmăriţi apariţiile publice ale aspiranţilor la un fotoliu de parlamentar sau dacă aţi fost acostat de unul dintre aceştia v-aţi convins că alegerile uninominale sunt doar pe etichetă, în timp ce marfa ambalată frumos este alta. Cine ştie, s-o vota tot pentru alegerile locale, pentru primar şi consilier, sau n-am înţeles eu bine. Unde te uiţi şi pe cine asculţi afli doar de intenţii de buni gospodari. În această campanie nu se vorbeşte de proiecte de legi, despre cum ar trebui să funcţioneze viitorul Parlament sau care dintre calităţi îi recomandă mai bine pe candidaţi.
De fapt, ştim pentru ce votăm? Aceşti oameni pe care-i vedeţi pe afişele electorale vor să vă spună doar ceea ce vreţi, chiar dacă viitoarele atribuţii nu le vor permite să-şi îndeplinească promisiunile. Faceţi un exerciţiu: după ce sunteţi abordat de un candidat, aşteptaţi să vorbească el primul despre intenţiile sale. Pot paria că, în proporţie covârşitoare, vă vor promite că măresc pensiile şi salariile, că fac parcări între blocuri, că lărgesc străzile, că scapă cartierele de haitele de maidanezi. Evident, respectivilor li s-a spus că “oamenii sunt interesaţi de problemele lor, promiteţi doar ce-i vizează direct, într-un limbaj cât mai simplu”. De parcă s-ar adresa unor oligofreni, onorabilii impostori turuie în gol despre tot felul de rezolvări miraculoase ale tuturor problemelor, jurând că triplează salariile, gonesc Guvernul care stă pe saci de bani, dar nu le dă tuturor bugetarilor lefuri mărite, în timp ce pensionarii se şi văd cu poştaşii cărând genţi doldora în ziua de pensie pentru a le deşerta sume astronomice. Parcă am fi într-o piesă de teatru absurd, o comedie în care actorii inversează costumele şi replicile, scufundând totul în penibil. Oare, asta vrem, astfel de reprezentanţi prefăcuţi vrem să ne reprezinte în Parlament?
Candidaţii nu sunt întrebaţi dacă au pete în biografie sau pe conştiinţă şi nici dacă ştiu vreo limbă străină sau au studii universitare făcute la termen, nu după ce au trecut binişor de vârsta maturităţii. Mai degrabă sunt întrebaţi dacă ştiu să monteze o conductă sau să sape şanţuri pentru canalizare. Dacă asta urmărim de la viitorii parlamentari, mă tem că nu vom avea parte decât de nişte indivizi care să semene din faţă cu un primar şi din profil cu un funcţionar. Personal, mă lasă indiferent dacă un anumit candidat îşi pune cizme în picioare şi este bun gospodar câtă vreme habar n-are ce atribuţii are un parlamentar, nu ştie cum se iniţiază un proiect de lege, nu poate spune într-o conversaţie într-o limbă străină decât “Coca-Cola” sau face dezacorduri gramaticale chiar când respiră.
Pe mine mă interesează cine mă reprezintă în Parlament şi, mai ales, dacă ştie ce are de făcut. Nu mă interesează să-l preseze pe primar să bage canalizare sau să asfalteze. Am votat pentru primărie, acum este vorba de cu totul altceva. Ce facem, ne trezim sau votăm la nimereală? Iar nu ştim pentru ce votăm?
