Pe când un proiect pentru Craiova?

În general, politicienii nu sunt nişte vizionari. Cu excepţia câtorva lideri, care au schiţat şi chiar au urmat un traseu pe care l-au creionat anterior, ceilalţi sunt doar indivizi care nu au ieşit din pluton, preferând să-şi gestioneze prezentul pentru agoniseli personale. Prezentul a contat mereu, în acest fel explicându-se lipsa de proiecte pe care alegătorii să le susţină sau să le respingă. Bun sau prost, un proiect pentru România n-a existat, cel mai bun argument fiind în acest caz politica externă, o însăilare în funcţie de evenimentele şi conjunctura internaţională. Am aşteptat doar să ne ducă valul în UE şi în NATO pentru că, în alte condiţii, nu aveam cum să ne ridicăm fruntea din ţărână. Am fost preocupaţi doar de umplerea buzunarelor şi de furtişaguri din banul public (din fonduri europene, mai nou).
Dar de ce nu există un proiect de viitor pentru Craiova? În prezent, nici nu se prea ştie care sunt graniţele capitalei Olteniei, aşa că nu suntem departe de realitate când ne raportăm la politica în administraţie locală (şi nu numai) ca fiind una care se face de azi pe mâine. O fi având primarul Solomon viziuni, nu am de unde să ştiu că nu este un visător sau chiar un tip ale cărui proiecţii ating un viitor destul de îndepărtat, dar cu siguranţă nu despre oraş. Chiar dacă mă tem că am dreptate, sunt gata să pun pariu că nici Solomon şi niciun alt politician nu şi-a pus în gând să prezinte cetăţenilor un proiect pe care, nu doar în campania electorală, să-l întoarcă pe toate feţele. Poate că am fi fost originali, cum, de altfel, ne place nouă, oltenilor, să fim, dacă am fi amplasat o machetă a oraşului de peste 20 de ani pe care s-o analizăm din toate părţile. Sigur, unora li se va părea pierdere de timp, dar poate că am fi fost scutiţi să asistăm la apariţia unor cartiere în cele mai nepotrivite locuri sau a unor zone moarte din punct de vedere arhitectural. Pe de altă parte, la anumiţi politicieni nici nu este recomandat să le ceri prognoze sau strategii de viitor. Este mai bine ca viceprimarul Gheorghe Nedelescu să se ocupe de strânsul gunoaielor, asfaltatul străzilor sau de hăituit taximetriştri prin parcări decât să se joace pe harta Băniei. Doamne fereşte ca Gigi Bormaşină să se apuce să pună în practică viziunile sale asupra oraşului! Nu ar fi decât un rateu de proporţii, o monstruozitate creată de la manetele unui buldozer în plin avânt. De ce nu avem un proiect pentru Craiova? Poate că nici nu ne-am dorit să privim în viitor. Am votat doar “de azi pe mâine”, de parcă am fi vrut doar aşa, să votăm ca să avem unde pleca de-acasă în ziua alegerilor.
