Un oras ca o dugheana

Nu trebuie să fii îndrăgostit de un oraş pentru a-i înţelege istoria sau pentru a-i admira farmecul şi frumuseţea oamenilor. Ai nevoie decât de privire limpede şi de o perspectivă care să-ţi permită să observi toate lucrurile ce dau personalitate unei zone urbane. Craiova este un astfel de loc în care te poţi îndrăgosti de oameni, de istoria oraşului şi de farmecul aparte detectat de cunoscători. Nu rare au fost situaţiile în care prieteni din alte oraşe mi-au vorbit despre Craiova ca nişte îndrăgostiţi. Bănia şi personalităţile care au făcut acest nume respectat au un loc aparte în sufletul multor români, inclusiv în inima mea.
Dar ce te faci dacă oraşul din inima ta a ajuns pe mâna unor inşi de duzină, predispuşi la furtişaguri şi sunt prea mulţi cei care vor să-l administreze ca pe o tarabă? În Craiova se construieşte haotic, se ridică adevărate statui ale prostului gust iar neciopliţii sunt ridicaţi în rang de city manageri. Se dărâmă cu o frenezie nesănătoasă şi se plantează tot soiul de machete idioate născute de o gândire ciobită. Urâţenia nu se desfăşoară doar în văzul lumii, ruşinându-ne din cauza slăbiciunii de a nu putea să-i alungăm din birouri pe aceşti indivizi fără cultură, dar mai ales în spatele paravanului birocratic. Acolo este un adevărat dezmăţ penal, la fiecare ştampilă aplicată căzând în puşculiţa “deştepţilor” sume incredibile. Nimic nu se mişcă fără peşcheş, şpagă, înjurături printre dinţi sau linguşeli publice. Cu pretenţii de metropolă, Bănia încă stă în genunchi şi-şi duce pe umeri povara de târg în care se tranzacţionează orice la preţuri derizorii. Şi încă n-am coborât destul în mizerie. Dacă nu le dă nimeni peste mână acestor hrăpăreţi, Craiova riscă să ajungă o dugheană în care vicele-plutonier îşi întinde izmenele second-hand spre vânzare şi împachetează marfa pentru client în afişele electorale ale primarului.
