Craiova are din ce în ce mai mult un aer veneţian. Sâmbătă, după o ploaie mai zdravănă, în Bănie s-a instaurat haosul. Sute de autoturisme erau prinse în capcana ambuteiajelor create de lacuri în miniatură, bulevarde întregi existau pe hartă doar ca zone lacustre, canalizarea era depăşită şi gurile de scurgere înfundate. Ioc angajaţi de la regia obligată să intervină de urgenţă, lipseau şi agenţii de circulaţie, iar de reprezentanţii primăriei nu puteai da pentru a le spune ce crezi despre faptul că sunt plătiţi din banii tăi ca să fie… inutili. Nimic din ce ar trebui să facă edilii nu s-a întâmplat într-un moment de criză. Oricât am încerca să găsim scuze pentru administraţia municipiului tot nu am reuşi să o scoatem basma curată. Este adevărat, şi în Bucureşti se văd cam aceleaşi scene după o ploaie torenţială, mizeria unei capitale cu miros rânced ieşind la suprafaţă parcă pentru a-i macula proiectele futuriste lui Videanu, dar în Craiova te aştepţi parcă să-l întâlneşti pe Noe. Şi nu este vorba de artere mărginaşe, din zone unde s-a construit, ani de-a rândul, după cum i-a tăiat capul pe băştinaşi (dar sub oblăduirea primarilor), ci de cele mai circulate bulevarde şi intersecţii. Imaginile prezentate nu au mai avut nevoie de prea multe comentarii. Fără excepţii, mijloacele mass-media locale au arătat care este adevărata faţă a unui oraş cu aspiraţii europene, dar cu haine soioase, aşa că răspunsurile echivoce sau scuza acuzaţiilor subiectiviste nu-şi au rostul. Lipsa unui plan logic de dezvoltare şi furturile repetate din banul public ne-au adus aici.
Solomonicele planuri de abilitare a canalizării în câteva cartiere, chiar dacă sunt primele ce pot prinde contur după un pomelnic de promisiuni expirate din mandatele predecesorului, nu au decât să-i bucure pe contribuabilii din zonă. Dar, dacă ne uităm pe cifrele bugetului alocat lucrărilor de reabilitare a canalizării, este prea puţin pentru a crede că ne vom putea aventura pe stradă când plouă mai tare fără a fi obligaţi să ne suflecăm pantalonii. În schimb, raportat la problema cu care se confruntă mii de craioveni, se alocă prea multe fonduri investiţiilor pentru fântâna arteziană şi pavarea zonei centrale. Asta n-au înţeles edilii, incapabili să explice modul de fixare a priorităţilor şi dimensiunea investiţiilor.
Cetatea Banilor are din ce în ce mai mult un aer veneţian. Din nefericire, craiovenii nu se pot bucura de asta, cei din zonele inundabile fiind nevoiţi să-şi scoată rahatul din sufragerie şi să adune cu ligheanul mizeria din bucătărie, necazul provenind din latrinele revărsate. Pentru ei, singura consolare va fi să se plimbe “pe centru” după ce s-au luptat să-şi scoată apa din dormitor cu găleţile.
